Hey!

Are you having problems with some of your songs playing too slow, or playing too fast?
Well, here's step by step instructions on how to fix this.

Problem : Your .mp3 file is formatted (converted) in a way that the flash player doesn't accept. So, your songs sounds chipmuncked, or sound like their going in slow motion.

Solution : All you need to do, is re-convert your mp3 into the format that the player will accept.

Here's how you do it.

1) Download a mp3 converter here " http://www.cooolsoft.com/download/PowerConvertor.EXE ". This is a free trial, but it never expires. This contains no spy-ware or viruses.

2) Add the song(s) to the list in the converter that you are having problems with playing at the right speed.

3) Select one song (since its a trial you'll have to convert one song at a time), by select, I mean click once.

4) Now, look up at the top bar of the program, and you'll see 3 drop down menus.

Select these options in the drop down menus.
- Convert To: "96" kbps
- "mp3"
- To Directory: (Here, just choose a different folder that your .mp3, or music file is not already in. This is important, since this is where your converted song will be stored.)

5) Look at the top bar again, and choose "Configuration".

6) Then, in the menu, choose "MP3 Encoding..."

7) Next, you'll have a pop-up box. Fill out the following information.

ResampleRate: "44100"
Quality Present: "Normal"
Encoding Method: "CBR (Constant Bitrate Encoding)

8) To save those changes, click "OK".

9) Finally, to convert your song, look at the top bar again. Pick "Convert" and in that list, click the option that says "Convert".

That's all! After that, upload your new converted file to snapdrive.net and your song should be playing normally as it should.

- If you still can not figure out how to make your songs play normally after reading these directions, please post a new thread about it, and we will try to help you with this as soon as possible.

Regards,
- Paul

Followed the instructions in the following link:

http://www.myspace-talk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=935

However, the song I've uploaded is still playing too slow.

Originally was a .wav file recorded from vinyl. Plays normal on a regular media player (such as Windows Media Player).

Any suggestions?

Hi,

This means you didn't do everything right. You need to convert your songs to the right format like stated above.

When you upload them, upload them to a different folder than your old files.

I'm not sure what else to tell you.

This solution worked for me but is there a way to use lower bit rates? This would make the songs easier to load. Not everyone has broadband access in my country.

Yes, there is a bitrate option. Lowering the bitrate will decrease the quality of your song fairly.

The best next step down from 96kbps, is 32kbps, I do not believe the player will paly any of the bitrates inbetween, but you can expiriment ;)
