Why isn't he generator letting you get the code for the mp3 player? :eek: Will this be an ongoing problem or does someone intend to fix this problem?:confused: 25 songs and url codes written over 15 times this weekend...please fix the generator!:) My Buzznet main page isn't the same without my mp3 player!:mad:

He's not adverstising, he's saying that the MP3 Generator won't work.. i'm having the same problem, this is not good, it needs to be fixed. Seriously.. pleae take this playlist problem very seriously.. Can you please fix the MP3 problem? thanks

So I lost count how many times I've tried making a new MP3 Generator. Any chance of that getting fixed in the near future? Tired of getting it all done and then it just sending me back to the login area.

You guys are more worried about people advertising on the forums than someone who actually needs help... I guess should I go to another site and use their player... kind of defeats the purpose of worring about advertising when people will just go anyway because they are left in the cold to figure it out for them selves. Like Ben said, these forums were recently hacked, and we just got them up and running a few days ago.

Please do not post links to other sites, that is advertising.

Okay.

- I have not yet made an option to preset the volume of the music player, but I should implement this option soon.

- Yes, I know that after you type in your songs, it comes back up with the login screen, this should be fixed now please try it.

In a few short weeks, this forum should have a new layout, and more moderators to help you. But for now, I am not even an "admin" yet, which is pretty sad.

Oh, and btw, that site you listed was a site that copied off mine, and did a terrible job of it too. They only had one player skin with an option to choose color. My generator is working great now ( or so I hope ), so please reply back if you have any more problems or issues with your player, or with creating your player.

in the old player, I could go right back into the code and change the song I wanted to play when people viewed my page (track#="") or something like that...cant do that now, anyway to do it now?

ok so I got the player working fine last night... now it won't load on any of the pages that I have placed the code. :mad: which is kind of irritating since I have read through this and it seems like I am not the only person with this problem. Now I can't even open up the player page on the site without some sort of errror just to see if I made a mistake with the coding or somewhere it got erased or rearranged. I was very pleased to see a site that let me have as many songs as I wanted and had step by step instructions, but now I feel like I tried for nothing :(

I can't even get to the MP3 player site to try and set one up. I have been trying for two weeks now off and on to get to the thing, I am about to give up and go find something else. Is this an issue for anyone else? If so is there a remedy in the near future?

I'm really tired of the MP3 player only working 50% of the time. I really like what this site has to offer but if you guys can't get this straighnted out I will have to switch to flash fetish or something. Ever since you added all those skins.

If the player is not working, the most likely cause is where the music is uploaded at. Some file hosting sites can be very unreliable which causes music to not upload properly, therefore when you put the urls into the mp3 generator, your songs won't play. Where are you uploading your music at?

Be more specific as to what "but the mp3 site won't work" means.

1. Is it our site?
2. Is it the file hosting site?

If it is our site, please, as it has been said at least 4 times in this thread, bare with us while we fix some problems resulting from a forum hack fairly recently.

After reading some of the other posts in this thread, I have one word for you people READ.

Is there a way we could host the .xml and .swf files ourselves? Becuase honestly the server just goes in and out and I liked the older versions when you had to find your own site to host the files so it would put a lot less stress on poqbum's bandwidth.

I just would like to be able to download the .xml file that the generator generates and the .swf file it uses, host them onto like snapdrive or something, so it will take a lot of stress of this site's servers because they are rather whimsical.

Yes, you were ignorant to the fact that the forums only just got back up and running again after being hacked.

This player generator has been attacked! It was broken, down, ruined!
I've hired security specialists and their working on the problem, and currently my generator, http://player.poqbum.com is up and running.

Sorry for the downtime, but I had nothing to do with the downtime of our player generator.

Hi I need help with my mp3 player. I downloaded the music from limewire and used snapdrive to upload it but it did'nt work:mad: everything looks fine but the music is not there, there is no sound and it doen'st even have a play time. When I first put in the codes it did'nt start with http and end with mp3 so I earasd the other symbols could this be the problem or is it something else? please help!

Try to reduce spaces, underscores, and other special characters in the song names. Make sure they are mp3's and not another file type. Post some song URLs.

Yup, Snapdrive isn't the most reliable hosting sites. I personally would suggest fileden.com.

I hate to bust in and have to ask, but I noticed that everyone has been mentioning Fileden as a reliable source for their uploads. However, on the automatic playlist generator you guys have, it doesn't seem to work { at least for me. :0 }

Basically, I just want to use the .mp3 files that i uploaded to Fileden - as everyone keeps saying that Fileden is a great place to upload them. I can't, though, because that error message from my previous post keeps popping up. What I want to know is: is there something i'm missing, or is the poqbum player not going to allow me to use files from Fileden [based on the extra /'s and such]? And if it doesn't work, then why is it still mentioned when others ask which free file server to use?

I remember that it used to work, because I've had one for a while. I went to change my playlist recently, and suddenly Fileden files don't seem to be valid for me on your playlist sheet anymore.

is there a code that i could use that will move the mp3 generator from the very top left hand corner of my myspace page....i can hear the music and it works just fine but i can only see the bottom of the mp3 player......

^ The poqbum music player or another one? My problem isn't that my files on fileden don't work -- it's that the url of each song i've uploaded to fileden is seemingly not accepted by the poqbum playlist generator; hence the image two posts back.

Ensure you have no spaces or special characters in the file name. Try using snapdrive (www.snapdrive.net) as well

The URL I posted had no extra spaces or special characters. It was a simple, one-word .mp3 file. :/

However, i was wondering about the extra "/directory/anotherdirectory/" extensions in the URL from Fileden. Does it have to literally only be "http://www.soandso.com/music/mymp3here.mp3?" If so, that would explain why it's not working, as fileden's directory extensions add in a few others.

example:
"http://www.soandso.com/mar2009/12345678/main/mymp3here.mp3"

& Sorry for being so persistent - I just have quite a few files uploaded on Fileden, so it's a bit of a hassle to have to transfer them to another file uploader and re-organize them. :|

I don't believe file extensions matter. I am using the old version and they don't. They might in the new.

I'm sorry I can't give you a quick answer, I'm just not sure how exactly to solve the problem. Let me think on it for a bit.

The old version used to [work for me] .. my fault was that I lost that account info for my old playlist somewhere, so instead of the ability to just edit it, i have to start from scratch. I started a new account, and uploaded a few new music files for it on fileden [though most of them are the same]. However, that message now pops up on the new generator, when i've never had a problem with it before.

If it helps, I found the old playlist.xml file that you used to have downloadable on the site. It never worked for me the first time I tried it, so i ignored it .. but perhaps we could find a way for it to work, to get around the Error message?

Your help is greatly appreciated, by the way. <3 :D
